Oh what LOVELY days!

We started out this past weekend by watching one of my co-workers little boy. This little guy is only 15 months old and the cutest little guy! How could you not love those blue eyes!

I brought him home with me after work and the only cry I heard lasted 30 seconds and that was it! We got to experience taking the little guy on an errand, feeding him and of course he was fast to help us learn how to baby proof a house! He snuggled on the couch with me until like a light he was out!

David was super good as a make shift daddy-he even said that he wasnt going to get up with him during the night and guess who was up all night worrying if he was ok. Thats right David! He was even good to cover him up with the blanket many times as he squirmed around. Even at 4 in the morning when he fussed and almost cried he was up out of the bed to grab him and lay him on his chest to snuggle and stay warm! If I was coherent enough I would have taken a picture it was soooo cute! Also when we got up at 6 o'clock he was quick to offer pancakes for breakfast and even hold the little one and feed him at the same time! It was a good experience and just shows how good of a dad David will be! Kids are still a ways out so don't get too excited!

As we all know it was Valentines day just this past weekend and ours was yet another day of loving one another! I will paint you a picture of my wonderfull day- just try not to get too jealous! I got to sleep in on V-Day and when I awoke my wonderfull husband had prepared me the most wonderfull breakfast! We spent the morning snuggled on the counch and watching chick flicks! For dinner he had prepared me the most delicious meal and even set the dinner table with flowers...

and delicious drinks! And for desert- oh so delicious treats!..... :) :)Oh sorry I was day dreaming! LOL :) Now I will give the true details! I woke up not to find a delicious breakfast waiting for me but a bowl of Capatain Crunch. David enjoyed a bowl of Marshmallow Mateys and brought the romance into it by giving me a shooting star and telling me "Your my shooting star"! I know- so romantic! We then proceeded to watch the many competions of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics while snuggling on the couch. Later on that evening we got the opprtunity to watch David's cousin Taylor at a volleyball tournament. We then got to bring her back to the house to spend the night! We are now babysittin' pros! We did get a delicious dinner of chicken enchiladas that we enjoyed by sitting getto faboulosly at the coffee table. Oh and the flowers on the table- those were from work- don't worry no one has a crush on me! And those delicous drinks- Koolaid! We then got to enjoy my faboulous heart sugar cookies for dessert! Now I know you are all SUPER JEALOUS and wondering how lucky I could be to have such a romantic husband, but all I can say is.... HE IS MINE!! EAT YOUR HEARTS OUT!! :)

HE DOES LOVE ME!!

Welll... where do I begin... my life has not been to exciting lately! We're going though a little rough patch out here in Colorado, but things are still moving along. I have had alot of ups and downs in the last few weeks and the one that has been on my mind the most is the passing of Grandpa Canova. I know that he is now with his Heavenly Father and he is definately in a better place. I know I did not get to see him as much as I would have liked to, but I know and he knows the love is still there no matter what the distance. I wish I could be closer to all my family, but change is good and it helps you grow to be a better, stronger person. For Grandpa they held a graveside service which was very simple and wonderful which is just how he was. While the service was going on there were grey skies all around except for right above us all where you know he was watching us. The best part of the service was that we all got roses to give to Grandma which overfilled a huge vase and was a great representation of our family. He served in the US Navy and Airforce as well as a sheriff in California for many years. He was always there for everyone and was a strong man. There are many memories that I will have of him that include visiting in Manilla, UT and getting to ride in the bucket behind the tractor. Many hours of putting together the wooden animal puzzles he made and getting stumped by all his puzzles. We all love him and will miss him!P.S. Kenna I think we have the same thoughts on the pictures I promise I wasn't trying to copy you! :)

On another note I am sitting here by my lonesome tonight blogstalking (I am good at this!) David is on his way to Missouri with his dad to pick up a boat and a motor and they took the dogs with them. It is really erie sitting in an empty house with not even the ocasional sound of a dog collar rattling. I was filling a little bumbed out about being alone for a week until I saw this on the fridge!
AWE!!! HE DOES LOVE ME!! The best part of this is that he always makes fun of me when I leave him notes on the fridge, but it made my night to know he does think of me!

New Years!

Happy New Years..... 12 days late! :) For new years this year we had the awesome privilege of having my family come from UT to join us in our celebrations! Luckily my loving father drove them up that day through the snow and long boring-ness of Wyoming to join us. Unluckily for me it was month end and inventory at work, so I didn't get to join them until later on in the evening. So, that being said- don't judge the pics- the fam drove all day and I had been up since 5:30 that morning and David was workin' hard as per usual! So, once we all met up at our house it was time to go get some goodies- they realized when I said my fridge was empty- I meant EMPTY! Of course I hadn't gone shopping since before Christmas! LOL So on to Walmart our favorite everything store! We came home with goodies to make, and of course ordered some pizza for the pre-pig out! Mom made a delicious cheese heart attack dip with bread and little smokies. I can't forget David's specialty magic cookie bars- it's the only snack I can get him to make with out begging! For the rest of the night we spent it playing games and just hanging with the family! Then the festivities began! As we got ready for the big moment we took a pic with all my decorations!

I know I know WOW!! I went all out! LOL
Next it was time to arm ourselves with the poppers!

BAM! BAM! BAM! There goes the dog! The classic toast of sparklin' cider- I love this stuff!Can't forget the KISS!And of course my OTHER KISS! :) And to top of the night out come the left over illegal- um I mean fireworks from the 4th! :)

I am so glad that my family could make it up to join us for the weekend! We spent the rest of the weekend shopping till we dropped trying to spend our Christmas present! Mom is definitely good at both shoppin' and spendin' money! I was sad to see them go, but can't wait for all the excitement this new year will bring! Beware! Hopefully we'll have some good adventures and spruce up our lives with a bit more excitment! David is getting back in the groove of boarding and we should have some pics of that to come! Resolutions are to get into better shape and live life to the fullest! Have a great year to come and we wish you all the best!

Christmas!

To begin the Christmas festivities we woke up bright and early at 10 am!! We were all so excited we could hardly wait! hehe With it just being 4 adults for Christmas morning the excitement factor was toned down quite a bit- it's always more fun with little ones! We woke up and lounged around a bit and about 1 o'clock or so we decided we should open some presents! Santa Clause this year brought David a new wallet-if you remember the elk- his wallet still smelled of elk! He also brought him some Red Bull- which is now a yearly tradition as well as a few other things! Santa brought me an array of lotions and body sprays as well as some new perfume! Maybe this is a hint! ;) He also brought me many other little things as well. We also got our annual snow boarding passes from David's mom and dad as well as some sweet new socks for riding! Of course we cant forget our four legged boy Tank- he got a HUGE bone which didn't take too long to be little one!

Of course I said this year I would be good and get some pics of Christmas day and I failed again! Oh well- its just us so you can imagine for me! For Christmas dinner everyone came over to the house and had a gigantic feast of roast, mashed potatoes, clams (calamari for David) and way to much other food! I have to say that for Thanksgiving and Christmas eve I did good at not over eating, but for Christmas day I didn't do so well! I did good until I topped it all off with some home made apple pie and ice cream! David of course got his beloved blueberry pie-which in the end he ate 3/4 himself! It was a good Christmas visit that of course was topped off with a day on the hill boarding the day away! I hope you all had a good holiday season and there will be more to posts to come- seeing as new years is over and I am just posting Christmas!

Christmas Eve..

For all the Christmas festivities this year we were with Davids side of the family. We got a nice long weekend to go up to Winter Park and relax which was nice! On Christmas Eve day we got to hang out and be lazy all day which was nice. David's mom had made some sugar cookies before we had arrived and I had the duty of decorating them. I channelled my artistic side and got started- they turned out pretty cute if I do say so myself! Hopefully Santa Kurt likes them!

I tried to put a good one of the moose on here, but it keeps putting it upside down!

We started off the festivities at his aunts house and had their traditional Polish dinner, which consits of 11 dishes- or so we all think so! With these 11 dishes you have to have 1 of everything on your plate and eat at least some of everything- including mushrooms-which for me are no good and peas for David! This usually means finding the smallest piece of whatever you don't like then mixing it in with something good to hide the food. We all have a good time just being together as a family and carrying on tradition. Then we all get to open presents to each other and this year we came away with a new down comforter for our bed from Papa Chet- which I LOVE! We also got a few gift cards and a game. Then it was back to the in laws house to wait for Santa!

COMPUTERS!!

I dont like computers at all!! I don't have the net right now at home, but I will soon hopefully! Just don't tell I am slacking on the job today-:) I will have the latest adventures to update and hopefully some x-mas pics- if I remember to take some this year! Merry Christmas for now!

P.S. Dont get fat on all the sweets- my boss brought in a tray of goodies-its all most gone! :(

Traveling Adventures!

This year for Thanksgiving it was time to go and visit my family in Utah!! It always seems like the time between visits gets longer and longer. I love being able to go back and catch up with family and friends! For this trip we were able to borrow David's grandpas truck to bring some things back with us. The best part of this deal was that David had to drive!!

The truck is a stick and I am not the best at it so I got to be co-pilot both ways! This year the weather worked in our favor and we had clear roads and blue sky's the whole way through- this is always a great thing! The only thing that almost happened was that a badger almost became road kill- this thing was huge I was glad we didn't hit it! Our day was long and un-eventfull but we made it to UT in one piece! Tank of course did good as usual in the truck- he mainly slept on the floor and cuddled with a pillow! hehe TEE PEE!! Also while we were in UT we got to go and visit with Laura and Kenny and there cutest little girl Abbie! We were lucky that we got to sit and visit with them for so long- hopefully they weren't sick of us! I did however get to be selfish and hold her the whole time we were there. I also convinced David to hold her as well- it was super CUTE!! He definitely looks good holding a little one! ;) The best part is that now he is at least thinking about kiddos now! We are slowly getting the idea in his head even though we are not there yet, the seed has been planted in his mind! Cute baby plan=SUCCESS! I loved the time we got to spend with them both I wish we were closer.

The next adventure was good ol' Turkey Day! Oh the wonderful food! Grandma Baer was the cook this year and she did an amazing job as per usual. We had almost the whole family together and it was good to see everyone. There was of course one thing missing for David- coveted BLUEBERRY PIE! Good thing his mama has it on her list for Christmas! On the other hand I did get to enjoy some home made rolls and the coveted JELLY! Oh how we all love grandmas jelly! The day was good just to be with family and eat some good food- it's always a good combination!

While we were home we also had our family pictures taken by Joni my cousins wife- hopefully they turn out cute! We will see soon! Pictures will be shown once we get them. We got to spend lots of time with family while home which was really good! We of course played some rock band, shopped and just got to hang out! We love being able to come down when we get the chance to and miss everyone once we are gone! :(The only thing that I didn't get while I was there was my peach rainbow- I guess I will have to come back soon- darn it! While we were there we picked up David and Tanks new love- a KING SIZE mattress! It took quite a bit of effort to get the thing out of the truck and in the house with just the two of us, but we got it in and set up. Tank for the first time laid on the bed with us and got down quite a while after we fell asleep wich doesn't happen ever! He usually gets down right away! David even slept the best he had in a long time! I am not feeling the love- he loves the space between us and I feel like a million miles away! Thanks again mom!
