Birthday Festivities!

David has gotten lucky this year with all the celebrating that has been going on! We started out the festivites on Wednesday, by going out to dinner just him and I to a place called Osaka. It is a place where they cook the food right in front of you, and it was delicious!! Instead of catching the usual shrimp we got to try our luck with chicken. We didn't do so well, but I still really enjoy that type of atmosphere and we had ourselves a good time! On Thursday night we got together with all our friends for a BBQ. We had one of David's favorite foods- brats. It was a good night of eating food and hanging out- which is what most of our weeknights consit of lately. We really have some good friends and have been blessed to have them in our lives! This picture is mainly for me- David looks super cute holding Katie's baby Keaton. :) He is now 7 weeks old and David has gotten the courage to actually pick him up and walk around with him! I never thought it would happen!

Tyler and Katie Brandon and Molly Me and the birthday boy! For his birthday dessert I slaved in the kitchen to make everyone there own personal fruit pizza! As you can tell Easton enjoyed his! Also, just for entertainment some bloopers from the night!

On Friday night we went up to Winter Park to stay the weekend with his folks and to get some snowboarding in! The snow wasn't very good, but at least we got to be up on the hill for his actual birthday which was Saturday the 2nd. His mom made him a steak dinner and a homemade blueberry pie! Can you say spoiled!! For his birthday he bought himself a bow case! I had bought him one a few days before and he came home with one as well- needless to say he liked the one he bought so I returned the one I bought for him! Such a stink- he should know better than to go shopping a few days before his birthday! Good thing I had a back up plan!-That may be changing into a hunt of some sort! Whatever happens I am sure he will like either thing he ends up doing! HAPPY 26th BIRTHDAY BABE!

No drawing on your body!

We have a friend with a two year old boy who just noticed David's tattoo the other day.He saw the tattoo then looked up at David and told him- "your not supposed to draw on your self!" We all busted out laughing and then had to tell him that your right you aren't supposed to draw on yourself with markers and that David was naughty! He told him several times to wash it off and he even tried to rub it off himself. He was intrigued all night long- it made for an entertaining evening! Naughty David!

Katie's Baby!!

Keaton joined us on February 17th and I got the privilege of being there (in the hallway) for his arrival! He had a few troubles breathing and not able to nurse so they had him in the nursery hooked up to an IV. I got to hold him finally on day 2 in the nursery. He was so tiny!! Even David has warmed up to him and has been willing to hold him and even asked to hold him!

Welcome Keaton Tyler!!

Valentines Day!!

We had a pretty low key day! He had asked me to make him breakfast in the morning, but since we both are out the door at 6:15 in the morning I had to improvise. I gave him some muffins for my STUD "MUFFIN"- he had made them on Sunday morning for me and I just packaged them up for him with a note! That counts right?! We both went to work for the day then hung out at home for a romantic dinner and snuggling on the couch. David cooked the steaks- the grill is his domain, and I made baked potatoes and stuffed jalapenos. I set the table with flowers and candles and we had a nice, no TV dinner and enjoyed some great cheesy conversation. We didn't exchange gifts, but David did make a purchase a little while ago that I am calling his gift. He claims I get a gift too, but I have yet to see it. I think this is his payback from not getting all his gifts on Christmas day. He says no, but I think otherwise! ;)
I love my life and the man that I get to share everything with. He has stuck with me through the good and the bad and I can't think of anyone else I would have liked to have by my side. I love him with all my heart and I know he loves me as well. We have allot of things that we have yet to experience in life, but I can't wait to experience them with him!
Happy Cheesy Lovey Dovey Day!

Tonight's gonna' be a good night....

I want you to indulge your self for a bit and take an imaginary car ride with me!

Last night I was treated to a very romantic car ride over a scenic mountain pass. Imagine the warmth of a blanket surrounding you, the dim lighting that only a candle can provide, the smell of something sweet in the air. We look at each other and all we can do is just smile, and laugh at just how silly we are. The moonlight coming through the window reflects off our face and we enjoy the surroundings....

Now back to reality!

We were up at David's parents over the weekend and got into our car to drive home- low and behold the heater doesn't work. Now its FREEZING outside and the windows are frosted over and fogging from us just sitting in there and breathing! We started down the road thinking it would maybe just kick in- nope! We then turned back to the house and started to see if we could diagnose the problem- no such luck! That's when the true smarts came out as we started thinking of ways we can heat the car and keep the windows defrosted for our 2 1/2hr ride home. Take a minute and think- what would I do in this situation? Now I wish I could have taken the top of the car off so that we could have gotten a good image of what was going on! First matter - the window- we had 2 sets of boot warmers plugged into the cigarette lighter and set up on the dash to try and get some heat up there. Next we have 3 candles lit and set in the console to add some additional heat (I thought this was just nuts and wouldn't effect anything- I dare you to try it!) This only heightened the situation as we tried to not burn up our clothes! Then we had a battery set up behind my seat that was hooked up to a converter- that we then plugged a blow dryer into so that we could have that on low and use as necessary. Doesn't this look like fun?
Oh wait- I cant forget the propane blow torch that did the dirty work of heating the windshield and keeping the majority of the frost away. Last, but not least a blanket on the lap for warmth. Can we say we looked GHETTO-FABULOUS for sure! Are you jealous yet? The thing that makes this the best is the heater kicked on shortly after we had finally left the house! The car had only been running for over an hour already and we had everything all set up and ready for our long, cold ride home. When it did finally kick on we were too afraid to turn it off, so we sweated to death pretty much the whole way home! Just to make things more frustrating- it started up just fine this morning!!

Anyone ready to go on a romantic car ride with us now?
****nobody was hurt in the making of this romantic car ride*****

Happy New Years!! ~*

We had a change of plans last minute and decided to stay home for the weekend. So, we got to hang out with our friends Molly and Brandon! We went to thier place to hang out and play games, eat food and of course watch some football. We also took Tank with us and just so he wasn't left out we hooked him up with a girl too! Her name is Chica (the owners dog at the house they're in) and they were good friends from the start- they played all night!
We barely made it to midnight to toast to a new year! We look forward to the coming year and hope that it brings lots of happiness, fun and many more adventures together!
Happy New Years Everyone!!

Christmas!!

Christmas this year was spent with David's parents. We attempted some family pictures on Christmas Eve- what a chore that was! You think having little kids are bad, try having 4 dogs to try to position them the way you want and then make them stay. It was quite the adventure and we all went a little blind from all the flashes from a million pictures being taken to just get one that looked- decent! Ha Ha even his evil eye can't be taken away with red eye removal!!
On Christmas eve we went to the ski hill in Winter Park for the Ski Down. They have Christmas music playing and they have skiers going down the hill with torches dancing to the songs. We caught the tail end of the show- just in time to see Santa coming down the hill with snow cats coming down after him with all there crazy lights. After that we went over to a family friends home and enjoyed a delicious dinner with everyone.
On Christmas morning we all meandered out of bed around 9 or 10 and just hung out. I think it was almost noon by the time we decided it was time to open presents. Santa did a very good job this year- I was very impressed! He brought me my very own snowboard helmet- so I don't look like I belong on the short bus! ;) He also brought me some cute jackets, new straight iron, a clock for the wall and a gift card to Kohls. Santa was VERY good to me this year! For David he brought a new snowboard jacket- so he doesn't look like the green machine coming down the hill! He also received a new dress shirt with some ties, a new travel toiletries bag and an ESPN movie pack (shh.... don't tell-Santa didn't get that delivered in time and now it is waiting for him at his mom's for New Years!) We also got season passes to the mountain, snowboard shirts and socks from David's mom & dad also. We are EXTREMELY grateful for everything we received this year, it was definitely a good year!
We eventually got out for the day and went snow boarding just me and David. It was fun to be able to be with him for the day and actually be with him the whole time! I usually end up going on my own, but this time I got to hang out with him on the hill the WHOLE time! That night mom cooked up a delicious meal and Jackie came over to join us for dinner since her whole family was gone to Mississippi to go duck hunting. We had a good time together as usual and I enjoyed every ones company.
The next morning we got up and David and his mom went to the mountain again- I wasn't feeling good and Kurt was doing his own thing. So they enjoyed some good mother and son time on the mountain!
This year did bring about some sadness as well, as it was the first Christmas without papa Chet around. We sure do miss him and and also missed having Roz around as well! She was well taken care of and surrounded by her family and I am sure she knows we love her and missed having her join in the festivities!
Oh yes- I almost forgot- Dallan proposed to Stacie on Christmas (FINALLY!!) so a wedding should be coming some time this next year!Did you see the ring?- I didn't at first when I got their text message!
