CABO SAN LUCAS MEXICO!!!!!
Thursday we spent the night in Denver at a hotel near the airport so that we could be ready for our early flight. We made our early morning shuttle and had plenty of time before we had to board the plane for the first leg of the trip. We were all just happy to be our on way, and when we landed in Salt Lake it was a rush to get to on our next flight. We were some of the last ones on the flight, but we made it!! When we finally arrived in Mexico we made a stop at Costco to get some food and drinks before heading to our resort. I know for sure I would never survive down there if I had to drive- they're crrazzy!! The resort we stayed at was Pueblo Bonita Sunset Beach and it was beautiful. We were on the other side of all the touristy filled resorts and the Pacific side which meant the beach wasn't crowded.
Ahhhh..... so nice! Of course the reason why there is no one at the beach is because they highly recommend to NOT swim due to the under tow. So, David and Kurt decided they wanted to fish from shore to see what they could catch. What happens? David crawls up on some rocks just off the shore and slips and falls dislocating his shoulder.
First day of vaca... what was he thinking??
Day two we went fishing with an outfit called Red Rum.

These fish were mean looking and had a wicked set of teeth. Lisa caught a trumpet fish- it was pretty funny looking.
On our way in we had an unexpected visitor at our boat. He just popped right up waiting for a fish to be dropped and if that was enough a second one came up to take his spot, but lost that fight. It scared me so bad because I was looking through the camera taking pictures and BAM there he was right in my face!

David, me, Lisa, Denny and Kurt were all aboard ready to fish. The crew was really good and honest about what we would be able to catch which was really nice.
Everyone wanted to catch durato and tuna, but instead we caught spanish macral. These fish were mean looking and had a wicked set of teeth. Lisa caught a trumpet fish- it was pretty funny looking.

It was really cool to see that big animal just hanging out at the back of the boat. When we got to the dock there was a couple seals hanging out for the fish scraps- they wanted it so bad that one almost came up on the dock.
It was a fun day out on the water and that night we ate some delicious fish tacos!
The next day we hung out at the pool and the beach, fishing and soaking in the sun. We then made our way into town to do some exploring and shopping. It's always interesting to me just to soak in the different culture and the way they do things. We ate at a taco stand in town where David indulged in this...

Fishing again was on the agenda- this day was no bueno!! Sea sick and tired was all I got! Well, besides some good pictures. David, me, Lisa, Kurt, Denny and Audrey were on board for this trip. We got a discount through the resort and the crew was not good at all. They told us we were fishing for anything that would bite. We only had one bite the whole day and David got the chance to real in a marlin and we even saw it jump out of the water. Sadly it broke the line and we were sent home with out getting a single fish to the boat. We did however get to see some dolphins, flying fish and a sea turtle while we were out.
The day before we left we went on a booze cruise. They took us on a boat around lovers beach and then on to a snorkeling spot about 40 minutes away.
On the way to the spot we got to see a few whales jumping out of the water. Sadly all we could catch was the tail end on camera!
It was super hot this day and we couldn't wait to get in the water. Once we got there we all piled out of the boat in to a roped off area to go explore. I don't usually like to think about any fish swimming around me and this was no exception. Every time one swam up out of no where it made me squeal and with Lisa next to me squealing and laughing with me it was quite entertaining.
On the last day we were all sad to go and hoped that something would happen that would make us have to stay longer! We had a great time in Cabo and hope to go back soon. On the flight back David, Kurt and I were all supposed to sit in the same row, but the flight was light and we could all spread out. Kurt ended up in his own row which was good seeing as he had a whole box of stuff to spread out with. We also learned that as long as you got ahead of Kurt in the security line you will make your flight! Kurt.... could be questionable! ;)

Tank as usual got to start the present opening- once he got it he disapeared to enjoy it in peace!
David got this from Madi-
it of course went with his theme of presents which consisted of a hunting jar with some funds to get him started! My present was amazing and you could find me doing this rest of the day-
Madi showing the size of Tanks bone- it's way bigger than Jacks bone he got!
and enjoying some football
We love being able to spend time with family and soak in every moment of the time we have together. This trip was great and we can't wait to visit again!
Getting a STRIKE?
Yes- this is the BEST!!!

I love walking around the temple grounds and admiring the hours of work to wrap all the trees with lights and love spending time with the family!

I love my parents- neither one was willing to shed any warmth for a picture- as Dad says you get what you get!
Poor thing he just couldn't quite handle our shinanigans!
