Move those feet...

Who would think in March that it would be warm enough to go boondocking up in the mountains and not freeze to death? Well- this past weekend we lucked out!

I never get sick of this view!

Of course this view wasn't too shabby either...
I love being able to go out and take a hike in the middle of nowhere with out any trails and having a hubby who just "knows" how to get back to the starting point! The hard part is just keeping up with him- I swear he's half mountain goat and can out walk, climb, hike or run anyone even after months of not really working out or doing much! UGH!! I need to get into shape! Even the dog ran quadruple what I did and he didn't stop until we got in the truck!Well, except for any patch of snow that was big enough for him to roll around in!

No good bye, just see you laters....

Keater Bug is now one! We got to celebrate with Tyler and Katie, Keaton's 1st birthday before they left for California. Keater was most definitely David's little buddy!!
We always joked that I liked him first- David was afraid to hold him at first and before they left he preferred to hang out with David! NOT FAIR!! The little stinker even teased us with the hopes of seeing him walk before they left- that was the deal- walk or you can't leave yet!
He sure did like his cake!
I can't believe that we have only been friends for just over a year because it feels like a life time. We met them when Katie was just 4 weeks pregnant with Keaton. We have watched her 2 boys grow and believe it or not having Keaton around had changed David's opinion about how soon he wanted kids.
When we met he was talking about filing an extension to our 5 year plan, but now that number has been greatly decreased! :)
We can't thank them enough for their friendship and we have been changed forever!
So there were no good byes just see you later....

Christmas Vacation: The big day!

Christmas was simple this year we didn't do much, but did it big! Tank as usual got to start the present opening- once he got it he disapeared to enjoy it in peace! David got this from Madi- it of course went with his theme of presents which consisted of a hunting jar with some funds to get him started! My present was amazing and you could find me doing this rest of the day-Madi showing the size of Tanks bone- it's way bigger than Jacks bone he got!
Morg- being Morg! Love her!
The rest of the time with the family was spent relaxing and enjoying some football We love being able to spend time with family and soak in every moment of the time we have together. This trip was great and we can't wait to visit again!

Christmas Vacation: Bowling

What's better than a Christmas eve game of Bowling? Getting a STRIKE?
Finally having a game that I am better at than David?!
Yes- this is the BEST!!!

Christamas Vacation: Temple Square

For one of the many adventures of our Utah visit we went to Salt Lake to walk around the temple grounds. We decided to brave the crowds and ride the Front Runner down to Salt Lake and everything we do together turns into a party!
I love walking around the temple grounds and admiring the hours of work to wrap all the trees with lights and love spending time with the family! Can you feel the love?
Beautiful picture taken by Madi of the temple

I love my parents- neither one was willing to shed any warmth for a picture- as Dad says you get what you get!
Poor thing he just couldn't quite handle our shinanigans!

Gingerbread houses

I love girls nights and this one consited of making gingerbread houses. Molly, Katie and I had a blast doing these and spent WAY too much time on the little things!Of course in the process David was playing with his little buddy Keaton and made sure he got to taste some of the good frosting! We also let Easton and Taylor do a little house as well and Taylor wasn't a big fan of frosting in the mouth- I didn't know a kid wouldn't love it! The finished product with my Bestie! Everyone says we look like sisters! The finished project!
