Valance Family Weekend

The annual Valance family weekend was full of fun and laughter as per usual. Unfortunately David was out of town working so it was just me and the dogs headed to Kremmling. We went up on Friday night and spent the night at mom's house before heading to the Pesch house for the day. We spent the majority of the day on the lake soaking up the sun and having a great time.
Later on we went back to the house to have dinner and a bon-fire.
It's always a comedic event when you get the whole family together. We are a quirky bunch, but I sure do love them all!

Weekend Visitors

Mom and the girls came to join us for a weekend and I was super happy to have them here. We spent the weekend shopping, shopping and mainly shopping. Of course we did throw in a trip to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. I thought it was going to be boring, but it turned out to be pretty fun. While we were there we went and saw a 3D movie about polar bears and got to wear some sweet glasses.
After church on Sunday we took the dogs to the lake and of course Madi took the opportunity to do a photo shoot.
Once Daisy comes out of the water she runs away and you have to chase her down.
She can fly! :)
 so pathetic looking...

 wait for me...
all done swimming and oh so tired!
After all that swimming a nap was in order...
Of course that didn't last too long before the wrestling began!
And what better way to end the evening then everyone on a i-pad or laptop and you better believe Madi was involved, but she thought it was funny and we needed to document it!

The next few days were spent shopping and hanging out as usual. It was fun to have them come and visit for a few days and look forward to the next visit!

Independence Day

This 4th of July was pretty laid back and since it was the middle of the week we decided that we were going to be lazy. We slept in and didn't do anything that required much energy. We did decide to take the dogs to Carter Lake and let them swim for a bit which was fun. Tank absolutely LOVES the water and will fetch all day. Daisy is getting there- she likes to swim, but after a while becomes a bit whiny because she's tired.
After we took the dogs we came back and chilled until the fireworks. We decided not to go to Lake Loveland where they do them, but once we heard them starting we stepped outside. It was quite nice standing in the middle of the road snuggling my man and watching the fireworks above the rooftops. No one was out doing fire works due to the fact that they were banned this year with all the major fires in the area. Then we put the truck tail gate down and finished the rest of the show as the pups played in the back of the truck. After that we came inside and watched the Macy's fireworks on TV and called it a night. It was nice not having to fight the crowds or the dogs going crazy with all the neighborhood fireworks. It was a nice relaxing 4th of July and I couldn't think of anyone better to spend it with!

4 Generations.... kind of!

We spent a weekend up at mom's and couldn't resist this picture!
Between us and David's mom we have 4 black labs which make 4 generations...kind of!

Tank- 6 yrs * Drake- 8yrs * Daisy- 10wks * Duke- 3yrs
Of course I could't resist some more of our baby girl...
Tank and Duke are best buddies- this is the best I could get of them because they are always moving!
David took her fishing with him and when we were loading up to go home she decided his fishing bag is where she wanted to lay.... stinking cute!

Quarter of a Century

25 years old today.... doesn't feel any different from 24, but yet it feels like a great milestone!
Where will life take me from here I don't know, but I know it will be great and I know it!
Here's to another year old and hopefully wiser too!!

Introducing....

 DAISY!!!
David's cousin Taylor bred her two dogs Callie and Dulley and we were smitten with the runt of the litter Daisy. I got to pick her up the first part of May and we bonded on the car ride home.
Tank wasn't too excited with her arrival she sure did pester him to no end! In no time they were buddies and playing with each other like they were lifetime friends! Of course you better believe we took lots of pictures of her because she is our new baby and SOOOOO cute!!
We ended up buying a little bowl because as you can see the bowl we had was a bit big....
After playing all day she was hot and had to hide under the bush
This was tank checking her out.... not so sure yet!

This one makes me giggle! When Tank was little he would hide under the bed and I got a similar pose from Daisy even though she already was enjoying her spot on the couch!
Just for fun- here is a few of Tank for comparison between what a chunky thing he was and how petite Daisy is! Tank- 8 weeks

I was super excited to have a girl puppy and you better believe she got a pink bowl and pink zebra print collar and I even got to pick her name! YEAH for GIRLS!!
They will be awaiting a visit from someone.... or just David to come through the door. Tank knew what was going on- she was just following her buddy!
We love our new addition and so far she is one smart dog, sometimes.... too smart!
